Ever since Giovanni Schiaparelli observed Mars in 1877, humans have been desperately trying to find proof of extraterrestrial life on the red planet.
Elements that added to the speculations include the similarities of Mars to early Earth and evidence showing Mars used to have water on its surface.
Conspiracy Theories
Conspiracy theorists have always tried to find and expose proof that different life-forms inhibit Mars. They deeply examine any image or video footage NASA releases, hoping to make a grand discovery before anyone else.
Now, a new conspiracy theory emerged, claiming to bring fascinating evidence found in footage of Mars published by NASA. The theory was constructed by Scott C. Waring, a self-proclaimed UFO expert. He published the hypothesis on his blog.
After watching a NASA video of Mars, Waring claimed to have found some interesting structures.
He describes them as tunnel-shaped domes. Some of them seem to be in the shape of a capital E. Waring believes the structures spell out some sort of religious or cultural inscriptions. Even more, he thinks some of them resemble body parts, like an eye, head or arm.
The blogger also added that, although the structures seem ancient, they are in good condition and could be the perfect place to set up a Mars base in the future, since they are already built.
NASA’s Response
NASA responded to those false allegations, explaining the structures are nothing more than craters made by frozen carbon dioxide.
Scott Waring dismissed the space agency’s reply, claiming that not everything NASA says is true, so the agency can’t be trusted. He won’t accept that the structures are pits or frozen pools of water, his reasoning being that no water is present near them.
