If you’re searching for an out-of-this-world experience, we have the perfect thing for you. Yesterday, on April 5, at the Space 2.0 Summit in San Jose, California, Orion Span revealed the world’s first space hotel called Aurora Station, is it’s going to be out of this world, literally.
Of course, it will have attached a considerable price tag but if this doesn’t scare you off, that we’re happy to let you know that you can already book your spot online with a refundable deposit.
Aurora Station receives its first guests in 2022
The hotel will launch in 2021, but it will welcome its first guests in 2022. It’s more than exciting to think that a vacation in outer space is only four years away.
Here’s what the official press release stated about this event: “Travelers will enjoy the exhilaration of zero gravity and fly freely throughout Aurora Station, gaze at the northern and southern aurora through the many windows, soar over their hometowns, take part in research experiments such as growing food while in orbit (which they can take home with them as the ultimate souvenir), revel in a virtual reality experience on the holodeck, and stay in touch or live stream with their loved ones back home via high-speed wireless Internet access.”
Guests will see 16 sunrises and sunsets every 24 hours
During their time in space, Aurora Station guests will be 200 miles above the surface of Earth in Low Earth Orbit aka LEO. Needless to say, guests will enjoy terrific and spectacular views of our planet.
The hotel will orbit Earth every 90 minutes, and this means that all people aboard will get the exciting opportunity to see about 16 sunrises and sunsets every 24 hours.
The press release also says that on their return back to Earth, guests will receive a treatment worthy of a hero who is welcomed home.
Aurora is only the beginning
This hotel is only the first step in something much more extended because these vessels will eventually also be available for public sale.
If you have the right amount of money, you will be able to become the proud owner of a spaceship and visit space whenever you want to. These will be the first condos in outer space.

They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children.
